About This Retreat
This intensive retreat brings together a small group of dedicated students to sit with a respected scholar and complete the reading and study of a classical Islamic text. The intimate setting allows for deep engagement with the material and direct interaction with the instructor.
What to Expect
Over four days, participants will work through the entirety of a classical text. Sessions include reading, explanation, discussion, and review. The pace is rigorous but rewarding, with the goal of completing the text and achieving a deep understanding of its contents.
Ijazah Opportunity
Students who successfully complete the reading and demonstrate understanding may receive an Ijazah (authorization) in the text, connecting them to the unbroken chain of scholarly transmission.
Who Should Attend
This retreat is suited for students with some prior Islamic studies experience. Familiarity with Arabic is recommended but not strictly required, as explanation will be provided in English.
